Going away shots are not usually accepted.

Aside from my family, I didn't have anything going on for me. So when a couple eggs hatched today in my parents bush, I couldn't resist..

Song Sparrows, taken in Super Macro mode 4 inches from the nest.

momma was out looking for food, so it was a quick in and out.

When im not shooting pictures of trains I am often shooting pictures at fire scenes, which interesting enough I never get hassled by police when shooting photos, watching trains on the other hand.

I also like shooting pictures of the ships and tugs around various ports in the Great Lakes, and im starting to get into general landscapes more now as well.

Looks good, Steve. The third one holds the most interest for me. Also, that makes 2 tugs in this thread now.

I hadn't had a photo I really liked until after our family vacation a week ago. We stayed at the lodge at Hawks Nest State Park in West Virginia. In the morning, we took the jetboat ride upriver. The last rapids for the river rafters is about five miles upstream. Our captain pointed our boat right into that rapids and let the water fall over the bow. Really cool!

I didn't get a photo of that, but as he was turning around to head back to the dock, I took the photo below. I doesn't look like it, probably because the bridge is so large (3000' long), but we are 880' below the bridge.
