Default Help the railfans of NYC!

I'm sure most people have heard of the photography bans on NYC Transit trains. Help New York railfans by signing this petition!! Banning photography will just worsen the problem!

I signed it, I can only imagine what it would be like to not be able to photograph trains in my area, such as the Amtrak's and CSX's. It would be really a sad situation. Some people are very into transit and in the city that may be all they have.

That really isn't right, why would they call out 5 police units just for a man and a camera. I really think they need to stop worry about us taking pictures and focus more on solving cold cases and other serious problems. I think the cops need to balance their priorities first...

The problem's not limited to New York City proper. New Jersey's also been implementing gestapo tactics towards photographers. See
http://www.publictransit.us/ for more details.

You know it is bull shit when that happens you know. But you have to also remember that railfans are frequently trespassing to take photos and we are on station platforms when we probably should not be to be taking photos, so I see both sides of this argument. However I am not happy with the ruling
