You know, i used to hate seeing that scheme, but after seeing more and more of it on rolling stock and other engines i am starting to warm up to it. I actually kind of like seeing it now. Its a different look, yes but mabey some railroads need to have that different look, you know change it up a bit. I must say that that the other paint (H2 and H1) is really nice and i will always know BNSF for that scheme, but this new one (H3/4) isnt so bad, it just takes a little getting used to and a little time to get to know. I really like it on that spartan cab, it looks really nice, it reminds me of the Union Pacific Geeps that have the mini wings on the nose. I really wish BNSF went with the yellow lettering but again, it will take a little getting use to. Now if they could just do something about those faded SD70MAC's. Whats up with those, seems like they all faded too fast, defective paint mabey.

Looks nice on the SD40-2, but I like it better on the ES44.

Yes they are defective paint jobs. When BNSF was ordering engines and repainting ex-BN and ex-ATSF engines in the late '90s and early '00s they were painted and later turned out to be defective.BNSF got most of the new ordered engines repainted under warrenty.Although BNSF couldn't repaint all of them while under warrenty.A few DASH9s and SD70MACS roam the line in faded H2.As for the SD40-2s,BNSF didn't realy get any repainted. Most of the SD40-2s that wear defective paint are ex-ATSFs in the 6700 and 6800 series.

Cool

When the BNSF logo first came out, the first thing I thought was how it would look on a standard cab, I thought it would look awful, but after seeing that pic, I'll have to say that that looks better than Heritage 1! The black underframe and top look better than the green on H1, and the new logo looks superb on the nose and on the side.

Can't wait to see a Geep in that scheme, especially a GP60.

I thought the same thing when I first saw a photo of it, but that was the BNSF.com's image I saw. When I saw it in person, it turned into my favorite BNSF Paint Scheme. I think it would look really nice on an SD70MAC!

How about a Cabless unit or B23-7 or B40-8.

BNSF is getting cabless green goats,I wonder what that would look like.

It'd look unusual for a while, but I'd get used to it. B40-8's are sharp units. They'd look even better in the New Logo.

I've only seen Hopper cars, tank cars and well cars with the new logo. The Grain buisness is growing and obviously intermodal is always growing,I wonder why BNSF hasn't bought any box cars or reefers with the new logo.

A couple weeks ago, I saw a string of about 15 Stack Cars with the New Logo on the flatcars. That was my first time seeing them. Everytime I see an Intermodal go by, I can't turn the camera off until it goes by. I always check to see if any New Logoed cars are on the train.

Wow. That's a great photo. All the cars lined up like that really adds to it. Awesome!

Regarding the H4 paint on the loco... the BNSF across the nose just looks weird. I guess I am used to seeing the cigar band on the nose vs. the lettering on the hood. JMO

As the now logo is appearing on rolling stock, I spotted a shorty 2-bay hopper in white, yesterday in Laurel, MT.
