Default Unsharpened (soft)

I was told the picture was unsharpened (soft). Can someone tell me where I need to sharpen up the picture (I don't have the best vision) please?

It looks not only soft but of general poor image quality. Did you shoot at the maximum resolution of the camera? A Canon S2IS should get better results than this.

Default Canon S2

I was not shooting at the max resolution, but I will try that when I go out next time. Thank you.

Also this looks like you were shooting between 10 and 2. A trace of high sun here. When you crop do not crop so tite to the leads nose, let her breath a lil

And make sure you've got the correct info about the type of locomotives and railroads in the data form.
