My Beech Grove source informed me that Amtrak is doing a Bloody Nose scheme, too. Should be doing a Phase II tribute scheme, too. I've been told avtotal of 3-4 schemes.

Time will tell.

Be nice if DLMX 644 could be part of the celebration, seeing as its the only SDP40F left, though those arnt the most celebrated part of Amtraks history. Bet they would perform fine now with HEP instead of a steam gen.

I remember the time I was kidnapped and they sent a piece of my finger to my father. He said he wanted more proof.

What are you saying Charles? LOL.

Totally OT, but back when he was living, I ended up seeing him in real life (on the street, not performing) something like five times. Was I stalking him or was he stalking me?

OT again -- ironic to my rant above, drove home tonight listening to Stevie Nicks singing "Landslide" when what she's describing was actually an avalanche... the battle is lost.

Yes Mitch, sources have told me even 765 will be pulling select trips throughout the US during the year. She leaves FT. Wayne tomorrow.

I think Amtrak should do a Heritage 0.0. Paint a few units BN green, Pennsylvania maroon., ect...

Actually, what would REALLY be cool would be a maroon painted Acela with 5 yellow pinstripes down the length of the entire consist.

About to make Mitch hate me --

I don't think there were any PRR painted units still around when Amtrak came (although maybe you'll prove me wrong). PC painted really fast. I think all that was left were a couple NYC E8s and the NYNH&H FL9s.

Someone's really asking for a "Bloody Nose"!

This probably doesn't count...

Did any black PRR liveried GG-1's make it into Amtrak's rainbow years?

In that case, make it instead of PRR, Southern instead. And by all means, add AT&SF!

The two repainted GG1s DO NOT count. They were not in PRR colors in 1971.

They were frankly, the original heritage units.

And that one wasn't even Amtrak's. Amtrak's was green.

Hey, is that a dog in the window of the P70?

As far as the black GG1s, with the single stripe, yes... those were used by Amtrak, but they had all been given PC worms, I'm 99% sure, prior to Amtrak getting them.
