Default Coal in the Stocking (aka Superelevation Blues)

Bah, humbug! says RP:

"Horizon Unlevel (Leaning Left): The horizon of the image is leaning to the left, and needs to be corrected with clockwise rotation."

Appeal rejected (of course!).

Both trains are on superelevation. That @#$% pole is in reality crooked. Note especially the houses at left are nice and plumb, and the railing is leaning right a bit. Any significant rotation makes the scene look like a landslide danger zone.

Suggestions?

Those are heritage units so you have more leeway. Good Luck

Carl is bitter. Don't let bitter cloud your thinking.

Classic case - give it an RP-favorable adjustment and it will be accepted, unlevel. Or don't do it, out of principle. Those are your choices at this point. No need to agonize, just choose and move on to the next shot.

This, I believe, is the way to survive RP screening, sometimes.

But how much rotation?

Looks to me like everything is leaning left, even the houses and chimney on the left. Might not really be, but it looks like it. Not by much maybe, but to my old eyes it needs a little CW. How much? Some. I'd give it .25 CW and re-submit and see what happens.

Naw, more like sarcastic...

Do like J says. Rotate it a bit and see what happens. If you only have 2 uploads per day, we might see it in a few days.

Oh for shame miningcamper - you're gonna give us legitimate complainers a bad rap, lol.

I agree with Mr Pick - the chimney, the house, and especially the structure at the end of the track on the right side.

J is right too - when they tell you specifically what's wrong - it's worth an edit to see if they may be correct.

Other frames (that I might not ever scan) confirm that this is indeed level , but as you said elsewhere:
"Remember - it doesn't have to be level to get on RP, it just has to LOOK level to get on RP."

Just wanted some opinion on how much unlevel to make it to get it accepted!

what about directing the screeners to the ties. You can easily discern that the tracks on the right are level while the two track to the left are banked by comparing the ties.

I would not adjust this photo CW at all.

If they don't accept it, they don't deserve it.
