Troy, you and others have been called out...
by the rat, Danny V. on his Facebook page. I almost feel like I need a shower after stumbling on his page. But there are others on these forums he's clled out including Anthony Davis.
http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/134822189880390/
Troy, he's called out your cemetery shot of CSX and Anthony's night time shot in Atlanta.
I know, I know. We should ignore him. I've given that advice out, too. Sometimes it works better than others.

I notice you have to ask to join the group. I was about to join, but the pause gave me a little time to think clearly. I was going to note to Mr. Rat that he should consult a dictionary and see if the woird cemetery has a A in it and also to ask what degreehe has in photography. He is quick to point out that the screeners do ot have a degree, but never says if he does or not. But judging thir own photos with his shots, I think I know all I need to know.

I really don't care what he says. He also cant apparently spell cemet eries correctly.
I gave him my last bit of attention when I wrote (edited) that epic speech a while back. Since he has gotten booted off ObsCar, he's not even worth the mention, even for entertainment value.

Is it just me, or has he gotten even more bitter? Only coming across him every few months makes it seem to me that he's going further and further downhill. He's calling out a steam shot for having a long exposure...at night?

He has gotten more bitter lately but who cares not like everyone on here (including myself) is going to take his smack talk seriously, let the baby have his bottle...

Its nothing new,he's busy bashing photos all day, every day. Its actually nice to see him bashing other people then fixating on Chase, that was getting rather dull.

I personally have had a problem with those trying to tell us to turn railroad photography into an "art form." It's fine for them to do so, I welcome it in fact, but what I do have a problem with is that the practitioners of the more "arty" shots, I have found, tend to look down their nose's at others who are shooting more "mundane" shots.
Railroad photography is what you make of it, but one way is not "better" than another, IMHO. Unless you have a pole right thought the nose of the engine! -SG

He tagged three of my images as well.
I have not been active long enough to know the history... but, from what I have read, nuisance would be an understatement. Judging by his hatred towards "poles" and "wedgies" I suspect an abusive childhood.
That youtube vid is exactly how I picture his daily life.
Oops, I offended him Guess more bashing is in my future

Does it really matter? Why should his opinion and comments have worth? Why waste time on such a trivial thing? Oh God, Dan Valentine hates my shot. Let me find a high bridge and a cross wind.
I've have much better things to do than worry about what a complete stranger thinks about my photography.

Heck, he likes to make racial remarks about me being a 'little darker' than majority of the railfan population. I can't help I love Red Kool-Aid!

I don't think he has lost any of the hard on he has for Chase....
"Daniel Valentine
36 images in one day. That is what RP approved for Chase on 8-24-2011. When was the last time RP approved 36 images of yours in one day??
Never you say??? Why not??? Maybe it's because side by side, Chase's work is gold and your's just sucks!"
I rather enjoy his rants and I think he adds some color to the foamtard world.

I got curious and did some searching about the location in this shot. It looks like the buildings in question do not belong to GaTech but rather are the WestMar Student Lofts, apparently a private effort but aimed at students at Tech, GaState and the Atlanta University Center (Morehouse, Spelman, others). Formerly MetroPointe Lofts, if I am reading the info right.

This is just funny.
1. They call out all the artistic photos. Most of them are my personal favorites and are just awesome. Those shots really show off an artistic mind and experience on the camera.
2. When they are not saying a photo is "too weird for Railpics" they complain that it is at a 3/4ths angle. They say it's too boring and that's all RPs accepts.
3. They also complain about the photos where you can't see the lead unit. These are usually night shots and they always ask "Prove to me that is a Union Pacific SD70ACe! ". Really?
4. The last thing they do is complain about technical photo stuff like exposure/focus/and editing which they couldn't do any better.
Pretty low life people that post stuff complaining about things on the internet. Luckily I can use my time better than that, like taking photos.
Haven't found them calling out one of my photos. Too bad, I wanted to see what they would say.

Hilarious!
I’d never seen this guy’s site before, and I have to say, it’s pretty hilarious! I was getting worried, but I finally found some shots of mine he didn’t like. I honestly can’t believe that someone would spend this much time and effort to badmouth others’ photos. I'd say that if you're included on his "list," wear it as a badge of honor!
Some people just can't handle rejection...

If you look at the horizon, you will be able to see the beginning of an oversharpened halo. Also, there are two spots through the trees that the train can be seen. They are annoying. The eyes go right to those spots. Cloning those two sections would have been very easy, and no one would have been the wiser.
The cloud is just that, a cloud. The image would actually look alot better with the image cropped just above the train. But then, it wouldn't be a Railpicture.
In a couple more years, this will be so overgrown, asummertime image will not be possible.

Yup, if they were owned by Tech I would be living there. If I do move out of campus housing thats one of my first choices. Its 600 dollars a month rent though and the reviews havnt exactly glowing. They are under new management I've noticed.
All the development in that area is about 10 years old at the most, used to just be some run down industrial buildings and a scrapyard.
