Default How would you crop?

Hi team,

How would you crop this differently? I have more space on all sides.

Many thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions.

Also got this one rejected with the same cropping issue:

I think that I can solve the bad color issue.

Thanks,
Daniel

I'd suggest tighter to the tunnel... That root on the right might get in the way but maybe it could be cloned out?

As for the second one though - I'd say the opposite - come out a bit more, especially on the right hand side.

Hope that helps.

I'd say the first one will be much more dramatic if you crop vertically to capture the train popping out of the tunnel; you don't need to have the entire headwall structure included to make the scene work. The tree roots don't add anything to the composition.

The second shot isn't balanced well to my eye. If you don't have room to go wider, as Mark suggested, take some off the top (roughly about the top of the smoke plume at right) and left (just inside the bare, twisted tree trunk). See how that looks to you.

Thanks Mark and Dave for your input.

I have made a new trial for the tunnel shot (different angle). Now it's overexposed. I will try to fix this tomorrow.
