Default This ought to get everyone's dander up - how did THIS get accepted?

I just couldn't believe it when I saw the "top 2 of the day" just now:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=272318

Poor light, wires, scratches, weeds . . . the photographer's even standing on the wrong side of the road, and didn't crop out the passing vehicle!

And don't give me any of that "rare power" malarkey. What's so unique about black diesels?

Nothing against this picture, but I think its funny that it happened to be the top 2 of the day considering how much people have complained about either not being able to get the pictures in. Either the screeners are totally biased, or the picture got in because of who the photographer is, or all three.

Harumph.

Stop it! This is asinine.

And I do have to point out that the majority of these how did this get in posts demonstrate a total lack of knowledge about railroads!!!!!!!!!

Are any of you railfans?

par·o·dy (pār'ə-dē) n. pl. par·o·dies

1. A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule. See Synonyms at caricature.
2. The genre of literature comprising such works.

Ya, I think you guys who took this seriously need to simmer down! But, seriously, HDR would have definately made that a screeners choice!

Thumbs down

Personally, I think it should have been rejected for "Similar to previous photo".

...(sigh)....John...I understand your frustration but please, PLEASE keep the "how did this get in" comments to yourself. It just makes you, the photographer, this forum, and RP in general look bad.

Thanks
