I'd suggest e-mailing various Yahoo Groups and telling them you just shot the 611 running freight in the snow!



As for the reject, at first I wasn't sure what was up. The snow looks fine to me. But then I thought: is that lead loco supposed to be blue? Because for the most part, the train looks black.

The headlights should not have a yellow tinit to them and those box cars a few cars back are brown to me

No, it's not a black and white, but that's what looks like (except for the lights). Even the fact that we are talking about this would imply there's something not quite right with the color.

The headlights are a bit yellow, but I don't think you need to go as far as Joe did...

Those engines are very dark blue, so under these lightning conditions, I can see them looking near black.

Lower the temperature a bit?

Thanks for the advice. I will try playing around with the color. BTW Joe the Photog, I emailed my group within 20 minutes of shooting this picture
