Default Rail pictures.net does not take going away shots.....

I am NOT saying this is a bad photo AT ALL......

but I have been rejected for "going away" shots more than once that were better than this.

Sounds about right! That is an intro for a photo plug if I've seen one.

Well, based on what I recall of this thread
http://forums.railpictures.net/showthread.php?p=71855

I suspect that those shots may not be as good as you think they are. But feel free to attach some to your next post so that we can see those shots, in case they in fact are "better".

Thanks Janusz the first image was in Railfan and Railroad and the last was in Railpace. I dont like going away shots to much but you kind of have to deal with it at Cass.

Lets face it DPU's are a part of modern railroading now and photographers are going to document them. I think of submitting to this website like being a major league baseball player in a way because you might not get a hit everytime (rejections), but get 3 out 10 youre still batting .300 and going to the hall.

One of my favorites shots from 2008 was rejected for having a bad angle. Everyone gets rejected on here on a regular basis.

I'd love to post some of my going away shots, but I pay to get them on, so it wouldn't help the point being made in this thread..

Whoops, of course, I misunderstood the premise, those are your going-away shots. It's late and I wasn't thinking.

Hey, I'm non-elite and I have some going away shots also!

I have a couple that were accepted, I am a paying member. I have had a going away rejected for bad angle before. I don't try them very often either, unless its something I know will work.
