Default A few nights shots (Seaboard System included)

http://www.starnesphoto.com/railroad

This will take you to my own personal site with some links to shots here on RP (thumbnails). Click photos on the top frame and follow the latest addition link. There you will find a few night shots including two of CSX 4601 (SD40 in Seaboard System paint).

Hope you enjoy,

Chris

Hey, cool site!

Would that be the only Seaboard unit left? Or are there a couple others still left?

I am not 100% sure but I think that is the last SBD painted unit in service. I know at one time the 2667 (I think?) was still in service but I am pretty sure it is stored/retired now.

Anybody know for sure?

CSX 4601 is the last 6 axle unit in Seaboard System paint. This straight SD40 is one of 13 SD40's left on the roster...4617 is reportedly still in C&O blue/yellow...that would be nice to see and compare coupled to one of the new dark future units.

CSX 2667 is the last 4 axle unit in Seaboard System paint, its a GP38-2 so it might survive awhile longer. CSX 2667 is ex L&N6016.
There are several pics of 2667 on Railpictures.net, but the latest ones look to be from early 2003 from Michigan.

The Bull Sheet website http://www.bullsheet.com/RosterMenu.html has all active CSXT units and what paint scheme they're wearing. 2667 is in Michigan. It's equipped with GPS and the auxilary power unit; they usually don't put that stuff on engines they plan to retire soon.
