Exclamation Similar to Previous Photo - Rejection

So here is yet another example of how life is not fair - to me.....

I submit this image and after much consternation, it is accepted.

Next, I submit this one and it is bounced for being over processed etc.

Fine, I can live with that.....

So I start over from the RAW file and create a B&W version which then gets rejected for:

Reason(s) for Rejection:- Similar to Previous Photo

So I am thinking, ok, similar to the accepted one above, or the rejected one?

Whatever.....

Then, I see this:

Both submitted on the same day in the same batch

So what gives?

And I am not even picking on the usual suspects.

Oh well, do you think they saw each other?

I much prefer the black and white image even though the processing is a little wonky. I think you went overboard with the shadow/highlights tool as there is a noticeable halo around the tall building in the background.

Cool subjects!

Granted they were 27 images away from each other.

Personally, I'm not sure which I like best. One's more
popular then the other but the other has 2 comments and
more favorites so I'm guessing that is the better of the two.

As for Thomas - or anyone else, as I've said before; How can you have the best photos on the "net if you only accept the first photos submitted? Or, more to my point - each photo so long as they are not the same photo has it's own character and nuances that make it stand apart from the others. It could be road names, liveries, angle, perspective, color temperature, ect., it's all night and day to me. It's why when you go to a paint store, there's more then one "blue".
