Well,I suppose that they mean the exhibition struts ? Actually,that's kind of like the idea of the shot - to show the entire exhibition,which centres upon the loco.
Too picky or not ? Agreed,it's not any kind of great shot,but I thought it at least interesting,and it was a devil to take.People everywhere,very little available light and tripods not allowed.
Fun times (and such a cute little engine).

Maybe you can Photoshop out the columns. The banner floating in air would certainly grab attention.
