Default Digital Cameras

As far as digital cameras go, you usually get what you pay for. Before you buy a camera, you should consider exactly what you want. One thing to look at is how many megapixels it has. The more megapixels the higher quality, but also more expensive. I would say anything below 3 megapixels isn't worth getting. Also, a nice feature to have is an optical zoom. Pretty much all digital cameras have a digital zoom, but the optical zoom will allow you to get much closer to your subject, so check and see if there is a zoom and how big the it is. Also be sure the camera either has a sport mode or that you can adjust the shutter speed since you will be taking a lot of pictures of moving trains. You don't want a slow shutter speed to blur everything. According to your exchange rate, the camera you're looking at would be under 100 US dollars. That seems pretty cheap, so maybe it's a good deal or maybe it's not a high quality camera. I hope this information helps you. Good luck!

Here's a link to the Benq 1300 camera specs:
http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/digital...007320p,00.htm
It is 1.31 megapixels and a fixed lens.
Here's a review: http://www.currid.com/labs/chronicle20020606.htm

It has good reviews with some nice features. I guess it all depends on the kind and quality of the photos you want to take. I personally would want at least 4x optical zoom and 3 megapixels.

3MP (what this camera has) is plenty of resolution to get accepted here.

Actually, if you were paying attention, you would find that it has 1.31 MP, not 3MP. Please check your facts before posting contradictory info.

Unless you were speaking of your camera.

Mohamed, having never used the BenQ 1300, I can't tell you how good it is from my viewpoint. It seems to have gotten a good review here: http://www.currid.com/labs/chronicle20020606.htm , but as you can see in the last paragraph, there are some limitations of this camera.

The size of the photos is large enough to be accepted here and it sounds like the photos are of good quality.

joe im afraid about an information that i read about this camera its about the digtal zoom is this item important for catching trains pix or something like that ? from my point of view (notice:i donot know much in digital cameras) its important for the trains pix as the there isnot digital zoom in BENQ1300 but about the weight its very light just 63g and about the resolution its good so i think that 1.3mp is good for the pix but im still afraid about the digital zoom . waiting for yur replay joe mohamed

Exclamation 1.3 megapixels

1.3 would be unacceptable to me... go at least 3 megapixels or higher. The bigger the number, the better the quality.
