Default What are you using for CD DVD writing software?

My HP DVD drive came with Nero Express 6.6 software..it's lousy.
26 minutes to copy a CD?
And if you drop image files into it's index to make backup DVDs, it may or may not burn the disc. And there is too much other stuff on this edition of Nero I won't ever use.

I need something that will burn the DVDs without wasting time setting the writing speed, blah blah blah, I'd like the software/writer to detect what I'm using for DVDs, and apply the proper write speed without my input.

I like to copy CDs, too, and it takes for ever to do this simple chore.
It also seems to take a lot of time to drop image files to the software and burn a CD so I can send a few images to friends, and others.

So watta using and how easy and reliable is it?

I use Nero, it works good for me. Shouldnt take you almost 30 mins to copy a CD though. Ive had to wait at most 15 minutes and that was a DVD. Im not sure what version I have but you just select CD's or DVD's, and the what kind of disc your wanting to make.

Well it turns out I was wrong, it was not the software, it was the writer, it's had a problem all along.
New writer, works great!

I use Sateira CD & DVD Burner. I'm more than happy with that.

I use the burner built-in to my iMac and iBook. You can use the Mac's burner program or Toast. Either way, CD in about 6 minutes, DVD's about 12 minutes. (I think!)

Deep-Burner Pro... It's very very "light", burns fast and most important, does so without errors!
-Are you joking?
- I am serious!
- It doesn't make sense to speak seriously to someone who is joking. On the other hand, if you were joking I wouldn't take you seriously. It's a complicated situation, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes...
