Default Question

Is it easy to get rp.net quality photos taken with a 4 mp digital camera, w/o having to pay for an expensive editing software (all I have is Microsoft Digital Image Standard 2006), I dont know how exactly to do it so could someone offer up some advice. What I am wondering is if someone who knows the above program could explain it to me? I have some photos here that were taken with said camera but something is still wrong with them.

In answer to the first question - it is never easy, just look at all the complaints in the forums.
You are starting out with 2304x1728 pixels. So you have enough dimension with a little room to crop. The question would be if the image quality of the camera was good enough.
As for editing software - search the forums. You should find some links to decent free ware there.

Your first picture looks like the image quality is good enough for starters. Did you do anything to it?
Let's wait for the experts

Sorry, don't know that software. Picasa is a good free package.

As for the shots, the first one is way, way oversharpened. The second one is quite pixellated in the sky, and the ballast isn't well defined. I cannot tell whether that is due to a poor original (i.e., weak camera) or the way the image was processed.

There are decent quality images from 4mp cameras on the database, here's two of mine, but I am glad I could upgrade!
