Default Cropping ideas, please

This got hit with a bad cropping reject. Twice.
This is the second version that was dinged.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...28&key=6082965

I cropped the left up to the code line pole and top to the tree tops and added some to the right side and bottom from the first rejection.

Any ideas how to make this work for RP purposes.

Thanks in advance!

Find a different screener?

I dunno - maybe lower the image - more sky, less foreground to put the "subject" lower in the frame. Your foreground is not as interesting as Mike's SC shot and looks just a little high(er) due to the strung wires.

Chromatic aberration appears to have killed your shot, along with overexposure near / at the light source.

Personally, I'd mulligan the shot. To a hardcore night shooter like me, it's pretty rough. Sorry to be a little blunt.

That's because RP does not accept blurry dice...

Cropped and then cropped some more and it made it in.

Somewhere between a SC and a PEQ

I'm happy and that's all that really matters.

No, it's blurry because it's blurry. Either you missed the focus, or it's a result of a 1.3 second exposure @ 320mm on a crop body in wind.

It was 4 years ago, but I am betting it was taken from a tripod and manually focussed, and poorly manually focused.

Looking at the exposure settings though, I have no idea what I was thinking there though... there's probably a reason it's been in the junk box for 4 years
