Default Ah, man, I think the clock is slow.

Or either this clock is fast on this computer. I had high hopes for this one --

Instead, it was the last shot accepted yesterday.

Joe

PS -- I'll favorite five shots of the first person to type where the thread of my title comes from.

It was 1:02 a.m. by my clock when my picture was accepted. I'm angry. Shall we start a class action lawsuit?

You weren't the last one! I most definitely had one accepted at 11:03 my time, so I should get the lion's share of the cash.

Sadly, I am up at this hour doing work rather than making 1am Central Time submissions. But at least I might get some favoriting!

Hot For Teacher, Van Halen

for some reason the lyric that comes to mind is "everybody wants some, I want some too". A lot of VH lyrics build up in the brain over the years.

Joe, at least, if someone clicks on the "193 added yesterday" in the top middle of the homepage, you are right on top!

The one time this happened to me (because a successful appeal was submitted the day after the rejection), I didn't do too badly actually.

MJ Scanlon finally made an appearance on RP again with some aerials of the BNSF yard in Memphis. Not sure mine are as good, so I guess it's all right.

I've noticed it doesn't seem to be exact. Generally it seems to me to switch over around 1:05, but one day I swear it was like 1:10 or even 1:11, and another day it seemed like 1:02 or so. Never seems to be at 1:00 exactly (at least, that's what I've observed).

And right when someone on the east coast really needs to get to bed and is waiting for the home page to "zero out."

OK Joe, I'm a huge VH fan but J & Ric were too fast with the "Hot for Teacher" answers. But which VH is better....DLR, Sammy, or just for laughs Gary Cherone?
Now can anybody guess this classic rock nugget..."We are in Control"

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Everyone is complaining as if they have never submitted photos here before. It's not secret the current reset time is currently at 1:03. Simple solution, wait til it hits 0 before uploading!

You're right. I blame the screeners for screening ten minutes too early.

I wasn't complaining...

And, as I noted, the actuality is rather fluid.

Thanks for that, this is what I will do from now on. Didn't know there was a secret. Maybe a Railpictures.net for Dummies book is in the works?

I was in the group that got uploaded just before the click over. I saw that there was 9x in the queue and that was sometime after 1130. I checked maybe 15 minutes later and all the photos were processed. I usually upload around midnight or 1 since that is when I usually go to bed. I like to process photos late I guess. The photo I uploaded is a night shot, and the more I look at it the less I like it. Oh well, I may just remove it before too long.

And the more I look at it, the more I like it. Quite interesting. I specifically like the composition, I like how the stepladder is the first thing I see, then it leads my eye to the rails, which leads my eye through the photo. Very cool!

I concur! Took a while to get used to which is why I can understand contemplating taking it off but it really is an interesting (in the best way) composition. Reminds me of a shot I attempted but couldn't figure out exactly how it would work...you did though. I vote for "leave it".
