Wow. That thing looks great.

Pretty much has all the things that I don't have on my D70s. Too bad I can't really warrent replacing a 13 month old camera.

Pretty smart move on Nikon's part with the D80. It's street price body only is $999; not bad. It'll be interesting to see how Canon responds, especially because their 30D is so new (and 8.2 MP). They can't make anything too much more advanced than the 30D and price it low because it will compete against the 5D (which doesn't even compete in the price range of 30D, D80, etc.). Looks like Nikon might have finally caught up (and passed?) Canon in marketing the entry-level & semi-pro DSLR market. Time will tell though. Competition like this is only going to benefit the consumer as the quality gets better and better and the prices aren't out of this world.

I like the looks of that 70-300mm Vibration Reduction they just came out with too... $550 though, and I just spent $200 on my current 70-300... oh well.
