Default What do you think?

These are 2 photo's. 1 of a UP SD40-2 going through Glen Ellyn Illinois. the other is a METRA going through Lisle Illinois. These have not gone through the process yet, and was wondering what you think of them. So, please post your comments on both of them please. Thanks!

The first one would be worth a try. If it gets rejected, it may be because of the high sun.

I'd let the second one go. It looks pretty cloudy to me. Granted, you had some sun, however, it looked pretty high at the time.

I like the first one, but I'm betting it'll get a "high sun" rejection...based on how much shadow is on the plow.

Crop the first shot a bit tighter to eliminate the pole line on the right and correct the color and it will be much better, but the equipment box in the foreground is kind of distracting, and as others have mentioned, the sun is a bit high. I'd give it a try though.

On the Metra shot, you needed to have the rest of the signal bridge in the picture and cutting out the left hand track in the middle of the curve doesn't work. You also have a high sun problem with that shot as well. I'd try that one again, framing it better and shooting later in the day.

I think that the second shot maybe rejected for backlit as the shots caught from the dark side of the train.I think that this shot will look cool if it was converted to b&w.
