Default Boring location?

I thought the signal bridge added some interest to this shot (as did the clouds) but the screeners thought otherwise.

Should I just give up on this location? Maybe there really isn't much going on here...

You should give up on overcast day shots at that location, those clouds add no interest. It will be a fine shot when you get sun. Or an interesting sky. You have neither.

I chased that same consist down the NS Atlanta south district with the TFM unit leading, neat to see someone got it further down the line. As for location you did good, when shooting foreign power its good to get something local in the frame such as the Southern style signal bridge but grey engines with a grey bridge on a grey day dont make for a appealing image even so.

I don't think it is too bad. May not be for rp but the clouds are fine in my book. I don't like the crop. Square doesn't work for many things. Some color brought in by a different train locomotive consits would help too.
