Default A couple of night photos

These 3 photos were tossed for "bad motive". Rather than appeal, I figure it's just as easy to come and share them with my comrades here on the forums. I know there are many here that refuse to pay for a TO account, so I was trying to keep you folks in mind. Cheers!!!

1) Taken on the C&O Alleghany Grade near Covington, VA, it looks like 3 fireballs blasting around the bend. While it appears to be Close Encounters, it's really an AC4400 leading an Eastbound Coal Drag.

2) Pool Point bridge, a helper with rather dim headlights pushes up the grade (toward me) and illuminates the "cave" in a way that really seems eerie.

3) Pool Point bridge, a manifest freight rumbles across the bridge and it's EOT can be seen broadcasting it's presence all the way into the tunnel.

#2 is pretty good, might try appealing?
I've had trouble getting night shots accepted lately as well.

I'd try appealing the second and third. Nice shots. I like the lighting on the second and third ones.

Appeal eh? Well, give me some thoughts on what grounds I should appeal on? I don't think "It's an artistic shot" is going to fly.

Amazing what the full moon can do with proper exposure.

UPDATE: I've appealed them, they are in the queue, so we'll just have to see if CK or CS are in the artistic mood.

Here are two more, also rejected, but worthy of sharing I think. I think the rejections were due to "lens flare" but can't remember now.

Guess even when it's intentional it's a bad thing. LOL

Codewire2 is cool looking. It gives a really whacky feeling of depth. It was rejected, but it is still a good shot to me.
