Default Email Notifications?

I'm wondering if there is a way to turn off the email notification for everytime someone comments on one of your pictures. I looked in the user tools but didn't see anything. Thanks.

I don't honestly know... but most pictures get zero comments. Getting two comments on a picture is rare. (Most I ever got was like nine or ten.)

There probably is, but I like the comments. It's like respect from your peers.

Don't get me wrong I like the comments I just don't need an email everytime I get one. Maybe it's just beginners luck but I uploaded my first photo to RP and have received 2 comments.

I guess I thought it was common practice to receive comments but maybe I jumped the gun.

For example on comment amounts. Yesterday my photo was top of the day, so far it's received 2400 views and 11 comments. Of the two shots I uploaded today, both are around 200+ views each and 2 comments each. t just varies on the shot.

Well yes, you comment a lot on mine. That's like insider commenting though!

I'm with Socal. I just wish the email told you who left the comment too so you don't have to log in immediately to see. I don't like to rack up hits on my own shots, so I log in to see through the Members Area.

Comments are not that common. I've received 104 on my 115 shots, and I am guessing that less than half of my shots receive a comment.

Others here undoubtedly score at a higher frequency!

Getting an e-mail every time somebody leaves a comment is good . Saves having to check in the members section every time I log on just in case.

I agree - I like to get comments as well. Makes a nice change from all those e-mails offering to increase the size of various parts of my anatomy, offering to lend me money, offering me dubious financial priveleges, sell me under-the-counter medicines, cheap air fares, tickets for rock gigs I don't want to go to, airport parking, jokes I've heard 50 times before, etc etc.
