Hello everyone, this is my first posting on these forums.

In response to the question, I believe MP 0.0 is at Los Angeles Union Station.

welcome! The only problem with your answer, is that MP 261 is CP MORANA, which is only a little bit north of san diego, and I am pretty sure that it isnt 261 miles+ to LA...

You're right. Interestingly, there is a sudden change from MP 0.9 at CP Mission to MP 140.2 at CP San Diego Jct. Hope that helps...

Mileposts on the San Diego Subdivision generally run in a direction from MP 273.1 in National City to MP 0 in Barstow. The mileposts run from National City to Fullerton, then turning left through Soto and Los Angeles. They then follwoed the Pasadena Subdivision (that's why Arcadia is MP 124.1) through Pomona and to San Bernardino (MP 81.4) and up to Barstow.

Mileage between East of Fullerton (MP 45.5) and San Bernardino (MP 0) is that because of the original numbering I described above.

Metrolink renumbered San Gabriel Sub, so ATSF mileage between Pomona and San Bernardino as well as SP between LAUPT and Pomona don't exist. Metrolink also renumbered the line between LAUPT and Lancaster, so the original ATSF between LAUPT and Broadway doesn't have said numbering.
