Default Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

I had a couple days off of work this week and decided that I could finally afford to waste an extra 8 hours and drive down to the Great Smoky Mountains and chase the GSMR. I was a little hesitant because I was not a fan of the new paint scheme when I first viewed the photos online, but after seeing the units in person I must say that they look MUCH better.

Here are a few photos from my chase, none were accepted to RP

The first shot (with the boat) especially should have been accepted. Good shot.

With a little work, most if not all, I would bet, could be RP'nized enough, for better or worse, to get accepted.

, , ,, , ,,, still had a few extra commas.

Nice pics and interesting thread - you'd think a comment from the screener would've been worthy in enticing you to keep at it as there are so few pics of this line with the motive power featured in the database. Just one, in fact.

I agree with Mitch. There are some good shots here. I think some brightness adjustments would be in order, but these have promise. Don't give up!

Whoever decided to paint those units in those colors needs to be thrown into Fontana Lake

The third paint job they did for the Christmas train makes these two units look awesome. I'll see if I can find a shot of it.

I like that first one. What was their beef with that? Composition?

There was nothing wrong with their previous scheme and it actually matched their equipment

I still say you should work on th first one and I also like the last one a lot too. Needs some serious brightening.

Oh no, he revived a dead thread!!

No but I agree with Joe, there's no reason the first one shouldn't be on already.
