Default Photos Question

Anything I can do to make these photos better?1st photo UP 6332 as DPU, 2nd photo UP 6619, stopped.

the first pic look nice to me and i think that it donot need anything.
for the second pic nice angel make me feel how this AC powered loco is huge.
if you can add some light to it it will look great also you can make alittle sharping to it.

The second is way too dark. The first, I can see the attempt at sunset/sunrise lighting. That is the one with a glint of chance. Nice crisp shot though. Maybe someone has a suggestion on saturation/contrast type help.

These both were rejected last week and I don't see them meeting our standards a week later, even with serious photoshp work. Sorry!
