Probably my favorite cloud shot... hell struck down in some parts with baseball sized hail and tornado sightings.

Then around my place... severe thunderstorms with hail again blasted the norhtland... the dispatcher ordered the train to stop and wait for the severe thunderstorm warning to expire. I got a shot of the power in a nice sucker hole a ways up the line.

Crimaniddly! How can you get that kind of Dynamic Range without bringing out excessive noise in clipped areas?

I concur wholeheartedly.

My personal favorite are cirrus clouds. They're thin enough that you don't have to worry about them blocking the sky, but give a lot of definition to the sky as well:

Selective processing. Quite simple when you're using layer masks in photoshop.
