The last one is the closest, but you weren't "beaten by a faded Metra," you overexposed the shot. Try playing with the Exposure adjustment in Photoshop and knock it down about two stops.

I do not have Photoshop. I have the packaged iPhoto included with my Mac Book Pro. Decreasing the exposure only darkens the entire photo. I am scheduled to participate in a scheduled iPhoto workshop at the downtown Chicago Apple store. I'm bringing up all of my difficulties with them.

David

P.S. That F40C was faded!!!

Here's a recent shot of the 614. It's not that faded. Your color seems a little off.

Whoaa... been a while since I logged into here.... hello everyone!

I agree with what others have said - photo looks overexposed, color off....

If you guys don't mind my asking, how do you know when to catch the F40C's...? I've been dying to see one.... I gut lucky on the first of the year, but have had none since.

I've been seeing the F40C's running almost everyday on the Milwaukee north line.

You will have less problems if shot on manual, AWB may have got you to. I Photo can do a lot but PS can do a lot more.

David;

You're not shooting on manual? If not, don't blame the camera.

David,

Answer me these two questions;

1) do you look at these various attempts and say to yourself "these meet the standard of this website" and "are these something I want my named attached to?"

2) do you look at the minute differences between your various resubmissions and honestly think you have made it any more likely to get accepted?

The answer to both should be no.

Well, I personally wouldn't mind them in my portfolio but, I'd be shooting manual and wouldn't be having this discussion...
