Default Help with a rejection

Hi everyone. This one was rejected for Bad angle: http://www.railpictures.net/viewreject.php?id=120389 but I am confused on why it was rejected. Any comments or ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks! Nick

I would definitely appeal this reject! The bad angle reason, they (screeners) will have to address.

Appeal, don't re-upload.

I'm guessing they don't like the angle of the engine to the horizontal. If the appeal fails, you might try rotating it to bring it more level with the horizon. That said, my last six have been rejected.

Good luck,

Dave

Nice shot, and with living breathing railroad people too. Kind of nice to see day to day activities, even if just a crew change. I like the bold color also.

I agree with JButler. I like the crew change aspect of the shot. (All those trains don't run themselves. ) The power is very colorful. The only negative I see (and it's a slight one) are the shadows in this shot (perhaps you and an associate photographing?)..... but the shadows also give you a sense of the time of day. It's worth an appeal and reconsideration.

These BS reasons for rejects are getting old fast... this is a great shot, nothing wrong with it. What could you improve? I like the color, the crew change and late afternoon light. What're we all supposed to do, carry stepladders with us?

I had one rejected for the same reason... never mind that I was standing right against a fence and had nowhere else to go.

I don't even appeal any more. I can't be bothered re-re-re-uploading. Right off to rrpicturearchives.net.

I think it's a very good pic and should have been accepted.

I guess they didn't like the first angle, but apparently this shot is from a "good angle."

I actually like that photo better than the first one.

Same here. In the rejected photo, I found the line marker a little distracting. That photo was basically nothing more than a roster shot with some foreground clutter. The accepted one is much better in my opinion.

Do you have enought pixels to crop it vertically? The picture is about a crew change, so maybe cropping to emphasize that would make it acceptable. My attempt....
