Default A new old face for magazine

I thought i would point out that Railroads Illustrated is the new magazine out. actually its kind of a new old face. Railroads Illustrated is the replacement for CTC Board, which as you all know was one of the best of its kind (i'am talking about the dale/ brian era). CTC Board kinda lost its meaning after Dale Sanders (the old editor) decided to move on to other things after 27 years of CTC Board. New editors took over about a years ago and it was a rough period for the magazine, while paul and ted did well, they just couldnt get the magaizne to be consistent. I would assume alot of readers during this time lost intrest and became upset.

I am writing this because now CTC Board has been retired and a new publisher, editing staff and what not has bought the magazine. They of course are calling it Railroads Illustrated.

I urge all of you to try and find somewhere to get a hold of the magazine. The first issue is already out starting as February issue #333. The quality of images in this is far better than anything i have ever seen. I know all of you will enjoy it, because i sure did.

Here is the new website for the magazine (because the CTC Board one is deleted).

Note: I have no affiliation with RRI, i was not payed for this, i am just trying to get the word out that CTC Board is back under a new name.

The news is not back quite yet, this issue does not include the news, but in the editors page, it does mention that the news will be brought back by the next issue. The RRI website includes a list of the news people and many of them as you pointed out are back.

Wow, I didnt know CTC Board went under. That would explain why I cant find it anymore. Thats really depressing, it was the 2nd best (IMO) to Trains Mag. It was nice too that it was a local magazine (Everett, WA I believe).
