Default Latest on Bay Coast RR (former Eastern Shore) carfloat operations

For those who have been following it, here is the latest twist. For those that haven't the quick scoop is that the carfloat that operates across the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, one of the last in the US, has been out of service for about the last year because the float is need of repairs. The railroad says it is too expensive to repair the float because of the marginal profits (or even slight loss) that the float operation brings to the Bay Coast. Some, however, see it as a vital part of the railroad's operation, and want it repaired.
