Default "train too far away"

Well, that's a first.

Maybe for you!

The foreground is of insufficient visual interest to balance against the train being that far back, in my view.

I presume your tastes differ but you don't get to screen yourself.

For me the most interesting part of the image is the silos, looks like they are lit up, they have an interesting glow.

Wow, this is a great pic. It does look a tad unlevel but fixing wouldn't change their mind.

Lightbulb Toooooooooooooo Far.

It is the old "submit it to corn fields and phone poles" dot com.

Really, they don't like these.

Heh. I really tested the limits of "train too far away" last night myself:

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...22&key=7300272

Though not surprised by the result here, the comments I received when I put it on Flickr mean more to me than acceptance here.

Some people like shots like the original person's (I do) and some people don't. Getting them on this site though tends to require them to be really exceptional in some way usually - and like art, that's often in the eye of the beholder.

The train is in the light which is nice and the rainbow looks cool.

Default So far, yet so near

Maybe a different crop would help? My eye keeps wandering down to the lower right corner to what appears to be a corn field. Try cropping that out and the train will appear to be closer. Potentially this could be a stunning photo. Now whether RP will accept it is another story....
