Default Bad cropping help

This one has been rejected today for bad cropping.

http://www.railpictures.net/viewreje...&key=963931524

Any chance to improve it? As usual, your guidance will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,
Daniel

I think they probably want something a little tighter and with a little less foreground, like this:

I'm not a fan of cutting the tree at the bottom off awkwardly. I would crop the bottom right to the base of the tree.

Yeah, I'm not a fan either. That's the one thing that bothered me about that crop. Oh well, it was just a quick crop on my laptop in my photo viewer...I'm not even sure what the ratio is (I just eyed it).

I agree with Chris. Crop to the bottom of the foreground tree.

Obviously, Jim is the master of level, not crop.

Hey now! If I had done it in photoshop, it would have been a masterful crop.

Dennis,

I think that you must recognize that Jim's cropping suggestion was good as the picture has finally been accepted to the database.

So Jim is now definitely the master of level AND crop !!

So the crop is Jim's. I see.

But I still (respectfully) stand with Chris that the tree in the foreground should not have been cut-off.

I have lauded Jim's uncanny ability to level on these pages many times. He sets the standard.

I just couldn't resist a dig.

Personally, I would have cloned that tree out.
