Now that we have a 3rd topic on this issue, please post all your comments in all three, so that everyone can read them thrice.
The big (first) topic on this is in the RR photography forum, Andrew.

I like the way it looks on the front, but not on the side. I'm picky like that.

Have they actually painted any units in this scheme yet? I haven't heard mention of any.

I hated it at first, but I am now starting to like it.

I think they have painted a few, but I am not sure.

BNSF 7675 and 7672 are in Kansas City at Mid America Car and
Locomotive awaiting paint.

For anyone wondering what the logo would look like if the Cigar Band was kept on the nose, I did some painting....

Thats a pretty good Job Joe...that looks about a 100 percent better than the plane text on the nose.

Arrow BNSF New Logo Lettering Change

They've changed it again...
http://www.sd45.com/7695.html

IMO it's an improvement, but I'll take Heritage II.

Maybe if the letters were black with yellow trim it might look better.

Exclamation

They haven't changed anything. There are two separate locomotives.

7687 and 7695 have two experimental paint schemes. Changes may be made to the scheme if/when BNSF repaints the entire fleet.

Billy, the 7687 HAS black letters with yellow trim.

I like it a lot better. It seems to blend in more.

I see they've also filled in the area on the nose below the 'cigar band' with black.

Cool

It'd be nice if they painted the unit gray with red ends, nosewings, and Roman style numbering...

BNSF seems to like to screw up when it comes to paint [AHH, remember the peach fader units, those are good times and still pop up now and then]. But man, this takes the cake. The old ATSF-like logo on the nose w/ those letters on the side would look a lot better than their current configuration.
