David;

You ever think that maybe you should work more on the fundamentals of photography -- like composition and use of light -- and not worry so much about the toys? Good photography always starts with the photog, not the gear. But to answer your question, if you get a Canon 24 to 105 mm, yes, it will fit your 50D.

I have one on my 50D I give it 10 for sharp and night photos with low flare for a zoom. Not as wide as some want but a good fit for rail photos. Granted the best wont fix a bad shot it is still sharper then most zooms that come with them. Knowing your skills is that what you want? I think if you want to improve a camera club may give you a set of eyes and help past some of the tech stuff that can be hard to understand. You are trying may as well have some hands on help!

Joe - Indeed, I believe you are right so that why somehow even I keep fall with my old lens almost one half of years so it time I would like to change to different another any kinds of new lens since. I'd like try to do night photography without flare lights front the lens...

Milwman - Same I have still 50D with me for almost one half years to 2 years now so I pretty very comforting spend with my 50D often. Sometimes I have few times problem with my experience with 50D as because when I taken night photography a with flare light, few grain cover on the pictures, and little blurry enough so somehow that why I little frustrated with my EF 28-135mm F/3.5 - 5.6 IS USM lens...Of course I want need be my improve with my 50D and, need stay away from my old 28-135mm lens so I would like look for any lens kinds of expensive..like 24-700mm, 17-55mm, 25-105mm, 700-200mm, and wide lens as such as because I like look for best more fast, stabilizer, night photography things, some few mores else so that what I like look for..

Hatchetman - EF 28-135mm F/3.5 - 5.6 IS USM that cheap a**...
