Default The value of Flickr

OK, many of you know I am a pretty big proponent of Flickr. I think it is the bees knees and an amazing tool. Anyway a while back I was contacted by a company in Oregon that does restaurant furniture and furnishings and design, via Flickr. They wanted to use my photo as a part of the newly remodeled North Side McDonalds here in Defiance, compensating me of course. I got my check and happy, happy, happy I was. Then I went in while they were putting images up, and was told they were only doing half the store with them and they would not use my photo even though they really liked it.
They had made wallpaper out of the other images and it really was quite striking.

Well driving by on the Main Drag through town tonight I looked over and there this was! About least 5 by 15 or so! Right in the middle of the store, etched on a divider, visible from both sides, right in the middle of the dining room the most prominent image in there! I am so proud of it!

The picture does not do it justice.

And here is the original image.

Awesome. I'd love to see that in person. Congrats, Bees Kneesbush.

This thread confused me at first until I realized that "Oregon" is apparently a suburb of Toledo.

But regardless, nice job.

No, Oregon on the Pacific Ocean. Roseburg, Oregon to be specific. 2000 miles or so away.

The one problem I have with Flickr is when they stopped using the thumb nails, it takes forever to load now with the bigger photos, but then again I guess if they used your photo from there and made it 5 by 15, this could explain a few things.
Very nice, Congrats

Ah, gotcha. Somehow I completely skipped over the part that the McDonalds was in Defiance and read it as being located in Oregon.
