The abanoned C&O line in a pretty picture looking in toward Durbin. After the flood of 1986 washed out the C&O line between Cass and Durin, the Durbin Rocket was created. It now runs on this line a few miles down the river. The Durbin Rocket has no connection to the outside world. The switch up ahead, is the Sourth leg of the "Y" to head West. The "Y" is still in use by the Durbin Rocket. Back in the day, this "Y" use to go all the way to Elkins. BUt now it only goes about 100 yards, if that. The North leg ofthe "Y" can't really be seen, but it is off in the distance before the caboose. In the far distance is one of the Durin Rockets Caboose. The railroad uses the cabooses to take people down the line. You can even rent your a caboose and say overnight at the end of the line, and the Durbin Rocket will pick you up the next day.
