ICRR 4-8-2 2402 was a regular sight in Broadview, Illinois, about 15 miles west of Chicago. She was built by Alco-Schenectady in 1923, had 73 inch drivers and delivered 51,121 pounds of tractive effort. She was scrapped in January, 1957. ICRR 2402 had an enormous tender that looked every bit as large as the locomotive itself. I never saw the 2402 with an auxiliary water tender like some of the other 2400s with smaller tenders. This shot shows 2402 at the west end of the yard.
