Executing the quick turn. WW&F Locomotive #10 passes the tankhouse at the north end of the Sheepscot Yard as she moves in to couple to a passenger train during the museum's recent Victorian Christmas event. The folks at the WW&F offer free train rides on the Saturday before every Christmas and this year, the locals turned out in force. There were so many patrons waiting to ride the hourly trains, that the railroad crews were forced to abandon the rigid schedule and turn the trains at each end of the line just as fast as they could. So, every time #10 pulled into Sheepscot Yard, her fire was quickly cleaned, a few buckets of coal were dumped in the coal pocket and a quick run-around was executed. Just a few moments after this shot was taken, yet another packed passenger train was headed north.
