Heading westbound downgrade past Sink Lake, this westbound has just started up its dynamic brakes as the rear end pulls over the top of the pass. This is part 2 of the story started in this photo!
After 8839 coupled onto the rear end of this train, all the units started shoving, hard. 115 had a few empty intermodal platforms on the rear, so 8839 didn't dare go past notch 6! After giving it all they could, stretching the slack, running it in, and having various runs at the train, it still hadn't moved, so they got a joint TOP as Work CEFX 1026 and Work 8839, 10 minutes of paperwork and radio chatter to move 5 cars back! Somehow, going further downgrade worked, and they were back on their way.
