The shadows are very long as an Empty CP Grain train descends the Loop at Notch Hill. The train is running the "wrong way" on the new track generally used for westbound trains. The old steeper track is in the shadows against the mountain in the background. Note the lower level of the loop above the bridge.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
