After close to an hour and a half of set backs and delays, job B27 was finally underway out of Minnesota City. Now out of the river valley and making its way through the open fields of southeastern Minnesota, the train catches its first full rays of some late evening sunlight. Unfortunately, the crew wouldn't make it much further in the sunlight. Their second unit would shutdown on them just outside of Byron delaying them even further. A meet at Dodge Center, which typically only takes 2 hours to get to from Minnesota City, would take well over 4 hours with all of the troubles this crew experienced on this day.
