NS 287 will run two different routes from Buffalo to Bellevue. The most common route is to take the ex-NKP to Rockport and then take the Chicago line to Fairlane yard for a possible set off of multi-levels and then continue west to the Vermillion Connection where the Chicago line can connect to the former NKP line straight to Bellevue yard. On this day, 287 took the other route on the ex-NKP the whole way to Bellevue yard making this photo possible. NS 287 had to make a set off multi-levels at Sheffield, OH before continuing west with seven mult-levels. Photo oppertunities here at the Drawbridge (RU) in Lorain are hard to come by because most NS trains run through here during the night. A few trains that you may see here are 14T, L22 south Lorain local, or 363 which runs from south Lorain to Bellevue and back. Thanks to Dave Ori for the tip and to Terry Chicwak for location help.
