The Sierra Northern dinner train passes right along the Sacramento River, which gives the train its name "River Train". Shortly after departing West Sacramento, the train passes over a long trestle where passengers get an up close view of the Sacramento River. SERA 131 eases along the Woodland Branch at 10mph, allowing passengers much needed time to finish their dinner.
