One Hundred Years and Counting: This 100-year old 90 pound rail still in active use on the Old Curran Pass shows the longevity of railway capital investment. The poor condition of the rail shows the use and abuse that it has suffered over the last century under Wabash, N&W, and NS ownership. However, it soldiers on allowing the NS to deliver phosphoric acid loads to Brandt Consolidated's Ag-Chem plant in Curran, IL.
All those shots of interesting railroad details, what you see trackside, up close and personal! Excludes shots going into my other albums: "Engine Details," "Signal Details," and "Switchstand Shots."
