With their run-around complete, Pan Am's NMBK climbed out of Calais Junction on its way toward Bucksport, Maine on October 25, 2014. Before crossing the Penobscot River into Brewer, GP40-2W 505 and its train would momentarily head over the bridge that spans the former Maine Central mainline underneath. If all looming plans take place, both the Bucksport Branch and PAR mainline east of Northern Maine Junction will be dormant by the end of the year.
