The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad. McCloud 25 pulls her mixed freight around the southern shore of pretty Nehalem Bay as she enters the little town of Wheeler, where she'll stop for water. The Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad runs on 46 miles of former Southern Pacific trackage, about half of which runs either right on the open Pacific coastline, or along sheltered bays, like the one you see here. It's a very pleasant ride with a variety of great scenery. If you're ever in the area, it's well worth making a stop in Garibaldi for a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic RR.
