Centennial 6936 trails 3rd out on UP Train OWVBT 20 which is all red at CP Charlie on the BNSF Ft. Scott Sub.
The Big Jack was picked up in Cheyenne the day before for movement to North Platte for engine work. The massive unit wasn't cut out at NP for the shop, and continued all the way to Muskogee, OK before finally being set out, and was even online and used for power as far as Kansas City. A local took it back to Coffeyville, KS, and a light engine move with other defective or non-compliant power finally got the DDA40X to the diesel shop at Bailey Yard for the scheduled work.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
