A trio of Vermont Railway 3,000 horsepower geeps head up the Green Mountain Railroad train 263 as it crosses over the Mill River at Cuttingsville, Vermont. VTR GP40 301, GP40-2LW 310 and GP40-2LW 311 are enroute from Rutland to Bellows Falls, Vermont, with freight bound for VRS online customers and for interchange at Bellows Falls. Trios of solid red Vermont Railway units are definitely not the norm on the VRS. (Side note - I learned how playful river otters can be at this location on this particular day - visited for about 10 minutes by one of the fun little guys!)
